Faux Metallic Zebra Rug

So I wanted to share my latest rug creation with you. I just got this listed on Etsy,
but this is a custom order that I will be shipping out today.

I love the white and metallic gold!
I should have done this way sooner:)

You can find these in my Etsy shop, they are made to order.

The rugs are hand painted on canvas and sealed for protection.

Why You Should Shiplap Something...

You know how it's so funny when you're in the moment and your like...
it can't get any better than this?

I remember when we got our new sofa and I was like, yes!
Finally it looks and feels how I want it too!

And then you know how a couple days or even a week goes by and you're back to the same ole' feeling of ... huh...what am I not loving?

And by now your probably asking.. what is your point? What are you even talking about... well, I'm talking about shiplap of course!
I wanted to share some side by side comparisons so you could see the
difference a little shiplap makes.

I was sitting here on a Friday night looking through my phone while my husband is away at school {ya that's right, I'm wild} and I was blown away by the before and after... I had completely forgot how un-awesome it looked before.. but I remember thinking how awesome it did look at the time...
If that makes since...

It's funny when you think it can't get better... and then it totally does.. like way better!

So just in case you have been hem-hawing around about doing this project... I wanted to show you that you should, and what a huge difference it makes!

I'm currently working on some rugs for the Etsy shop...
I can't wait to show you;)

Have a great day guys!

New World Market Bar Stools and a Painted Bar

Hi friends. I hope you are all well and coasting through this week!

I wanted to share with you my latest addition to my home.

My new bar stools! My sweet sister in-law gave these to me after she had an order mishap and they ended up sending her two extra's.. she called but they had no clue what she was talking about or any record of sending extra's to her... so she got to keep them and sweetly gave them to me!
Lucky me huh?

Anyways, we originally had three bar stools that were really nice, but once she got these palomino stools for her home, I fell in love with them... I mean coveting hardcore!

There gorgeous, but they were just not being showcased like they should be at this bar.
I had been contemplating painting this stained area for quite some time.

Really going back and forth..

Shiplap Shelves

Hi friends!
It's been a while since I have blogged and it feels so good to get a new post up!
I have been pluggin away trying to wrap up some projects downstairs before spring gets here and I turn almost all of my attention to the outside.
This is going to be the year I start my vegetable garden and we start our adventure in raising chickens!

So I wanted to share with you one of the projects I worked on this weekend.
If you can't tell, I have been on a bit of a Shiplap frenzy! I mean seriously I can't stop.. and really why should I? This stuff is life changing and it doesn't break the bank... So go ahead... go crazy.. I am!!

For the past few years, I have had a love hate relationship with our gigantic builtin entertainment center.  I have been trying to talk my husband into letting me paint it, but to no avail.

So my compromise was...dun dun dun...let me shiplap the back of it??  Yes! He agreed... and I must say it turned out amazing. I love how much character, depth and airiness it brought to overall aesthetic of this piece.
