Well good morning and happy Wednesday!
It's been a cool minute since I have done a post, but I wanted to share with you my latest project.
Since the Mr. is away playing Army for the next six months, I have an abundance of time and no one looking over my shoulder critiquing and second guessing every decision or project I want to do to the house, so you can bet your sweet buns I'm taking full advantage of that.
This is Part 1 of a 111 part post... (that's 3 not hundred and eleven just in case)
cause that would be crazy!
Several months ago, I decided I wanted to redo the laundry room.
Well it's not really a room, it's more of closet in a hallway that leads to the patio and pool area.
But none the less, It was boring and needing a makeover desperately.
I had decided I was going to do a fun floral wall paper in the hall and really liven up the space.
I have lately been obsessed with color and needing more of it in my life. So I set out the find the perfect wall paper which I purchased on line from this site.
I don't remember the code for it, but if you search floral, you're bound to find it.
Isn't it gorgeous? I love that it's a throw back to the vintage florals
but the large size of roses make it more modern.
So let's recap, here's the before.
If you follow me on IG, you saw this in My Stories.
I gave the hallway a fresh coat of Valspar Ultra White and then I laid the wall paper.
The white....again... it makes all the difference in the world!
So can we talk about wall papering...just for a sec?
I had never done this before.
I watched a ton of tutorials before I started.
In case you are wondering?
It's a bitch and don't let anyone tell you any different.
It took me all day to get this wall done.
Was it worth it, YES... would I do it again... probably not so much...
I painted the inside of the laundry closet the same color as the trim, which is SW Dover White.
I plan to do a stencil on the inside.
That's Part II
Comin at ya soon, along with some pendant lights and redoing that countertop...
Part III will be accessories, styling and the final reveal....
you know where I make it look like how it never looks in real life...
I hope you enjoy the new look!
I'm loving it.... even tho I sent some pics to my darling husband and he said and I quote
" you really like that wallpaper?"
Ummmm yes... yes I do...
that's why I spent 8 hours bustin my
hump to put it up babe...
Stay tuned for part two and be sure to follow the good stuff on IG @ raisingafarmhouse
