ETSY SHOP UPDATE~Faux Cowhide Rugs ~ Cruelty Free

Good Afternoon on this super rainy Valentine's evening.
Why am I writing a blog post on the night of Valentine's you ask?
Well my boo is gone, so I figured why the heck not?!?
But he'll be back this weekend from Ft. Leonard Wood and we will do our
post Valentine's shenanigans then.

I made some updates to the Etsy shop and I figured I would do some cross promoting.
In addition to selling my original paintings on ETSY, I decided would bring back
my FAUX Cowhide Rugs.
I started selling these late 2015/early 2016, and they did pretty good sales to my surprise.
But I was making them to order and when I was doing that, for whatever reason
it sucked the joy out for me....I hated making them.
 So I stopped.
I decided this year I would try it a little different and make them prior to listing,
that way what you see is what you get.

I don't have to rush around and fret over other obligations or cancel things cause I have a rug order. I think that was the biggest thing for me, it felt like orders were owning my time and me. While I was super grateful, part of me was just unhappy with it.

I can honestly say making this new batch has been much more enjoyable and I have been able to experiment a little more instead of making the same old thing time after time.
So I added some new designs, shapes and colors.

I'm hoping by being able to get these out quicker to ship its a bit more of an incentive to buy.

You can shop this room here!

A bit about these rugs. They are canvas. Painted and designed by me in my home studio.
They are cruelty free, very realistic, low maintenance, durable, easy to clean,
cost effective and allergy free...
unless your allergic to paint or cloth...
then you're screwed...

These can be purchased in my Etsy.

On another note, I posted the other day about how the Egg Game is strong in my flock.
I'm nervous for spring and summer, when they really start laying!
Sunday night when I tucked the chickens in, I found this monster egg!
Ignore the paint on my hands or the vacuum cord... one of those evenings...

But check out the size of this thing?!?
I half sure there is a baby T-Rex in there....
Jus Sayin...
I'm cracking this puppy open this weekend when the Mr. gets back into town.
I'm thinkin their is another egg in there... in fact I'm gonna be pretty bummed if there isn't...
I'll keep you posted!
