A simple winter living room

Happy January... I still can't believe the holiday season
just flew by and here we are in the midst of the new year!
Taking down all the Christmas decor is always more daunting than dragging it all out and putting back your home and transitioning to appropriate winter decor is even more difficult.
Right before Christmas we were able to get my faux fireplace made. I need to do a post and show you how we made it, but that will be another day. For now I still need to stain the top crown molding and figure out something for the interior. I have been debating on tiling it, but I'm not sure.
I don't want to regret my choice.
My cousin gave me these amazing horns over Thanksgiving break and I could not wait to strip the house of all Christmas and get these babies up. She ended up going a bit more modern in her new home so I was much obliged to take these off her hands.
I just love how chic and simple they are and they look amazing above my mantle.
I kept the mantle simple with just a few tarnished brass candle holders and an oil glass lamp.
I love how pretty and chippy the mantle is, so I don't want to clutter it up too much just yet:)
I want to enjoy the simplicity.
I also added this oval frame and these cream hydrangeas in a mercury glass vase.
I'm trying to keep things simple and neutral that can easily transition to spring.
I found this gorgeous blanket at Tuesday Morning last week and I absolutely love all the texture!
Just a simple and clean back drop that can easily walk right into spring.

And... the newest addition to our decor... my $50 thrift store find...
I finally got the little french settee finished and I love how it turned out:)
Not a bad little DIY
Hope you all are having a fantastic start to your new year!
Have a great Friday Night:)
