Floor Pops by Wall Pops | Master Bath | Week 4 ORC

Hey guys! It's week 4 of the ORC and the bathroom is coming along!
I want to share my new floor with you! This post is sponsored by Wall Pops
So, Wall Pops was generous enough to supply me with their flooring product called Floor Pops
They are vinyl peel and stick floor tiles that come in many different patterns.
They are super easy to use and cut! Plus they are budget friendly!
My bathroom project is 100% on a tight budget but, with a big look!
I started off by cleaning my tile floor really good.
I vacuumed and scrubbed with bleach...Cinderella style...
I started in a corner and worked my way out.
These are so easy to use and if you had a smaller,
not many angle cuts space, then this product is a dream...
I had many angle cuts and a relatively large space,
obviously it wasn't impossible, but it was a bit challenging... the good news is,
these tiles are easy to cut with just craft scissors or a box blade.
I chose the pattern Altair
I adore this pattern and it has lightened and modernized this space so much but the quilt design is a throw back to the country/farmhouse style. Plus you can't go wrong with classic black & white.
Make sure you have a helper!;)
I got this done over a course of three days, but that is just cause I took my time...
and I have a 10 mos old, so there's that...
I also did this entirely by myself... while watching a baby at times...
 so ya...easy peasy
I haven't had any issues with peeling up, of course it's been 5 days... but so far so good.
Eventually I will do real tile, but this is so much better than that tan marble or limestone... IDK what it is... I'm just glad to be out of Brown Town!
I'm going to caulk the edges just to hide any jagged cuts and little mistakes.
Sorry I didn't get a final pic...the bathroom is a total mess, also I had to take my car in for repair and the baby is teething like a wild man... so... I haven't had much time... in fact I just wrote this post like 5 minutes ago:) Needless to say I'm going to be under the gun to even get this done... but I thrive under pressure... or at least that's what I'm telling myself...
But I love this floor!
Big Big Thanks for Wall Pops and their generosity
I so appreciate you and can't wait to showcase this floor in the final reveal!
It really is a show stopper.

Even tho I was provided this product, all opinions are my own.

Master Bath | Week 2 & 3 | ORC 2019

Hey guys!
So I never got  my second ORC post done,
we ended up going out of town to a Willie Nelson concert in Austin, TX last weekend so between getting everything done and packing, I just couldn't get it together long enough to snap any pics...
But here we are... and we are moving along!
I got quite a bit done.
I was able to get the cabinets painted. I did the technique similar to the kitchen island and my entry way doors. It's a fuax Limed Oak finish and it's my absolute fave...
oh I almost forgot, my dining room table is done in this too... ya I love it....
You can find that tutorial here
I added a door to that little open tv cabinet and we got the perfect little louver door
from Habitat for Humanity. I had my husband make a handle for me to match the hardware I got:)
I absolutely love it! My husband restores vintage cars in his spare time, so he learned to weld several years ago, so I'm a lucky girl that he could make me a custom handle like this....
I need to spray it gold to match the other hardware and then some how cover up
that hole in the door and I will be done with this little project!
So here's the list... in list form

1. New Flooring
2. Paint Cabinets
3. Shiplap/ paint ceiling
4. New light fixtures
5. Epoxy Countertops
6. New Cabinet Hardware
7. Door for cabinet/new handle
8. Paint tile around tub
9.subway tile the steps
10. Decor

I'm really worried I won't finish this...
I always forget how hard it is to do a project with a child...like really, I forget...then I'm quickly reminded! But I keep telling myself any progress I make is good:)
This week, I will be working on painting the ceiling, and the floor!
Wish me luck!

Master Bath Makeover | ORC 2019

Happy Thursday friends!
If you are new to my blog, welcome, I'm glad you are here!
So, it's that time again... the Spring One Room Challenge...
I attempted to participate last fall, but failed miserably,
my son was only about 4 mos old at the time and the reality of
doing a challenge was incredibly unrealistic, so I had to drop out!
But now I'm back, life is a bit more normal.. I mean kind of...
so I'm going to roll with it and see how much I can get accomplished!

The One Room Challenge design event is a bi-annual 6 week challenge to makeover a space in your home. Twenty designers are chosen to participate and every Wednesday, the designers document their process while sharing their sources and professional advice over the six weekly posts. In addition to following along, everyone with a blog, is welcome to join the fun as a Guest Participant and will post their results the following Thursday for the next 6 weeks.
This will be my 4th ORC, you can find my other ORC projects here
So for this ORC I will be making over our Master bath.
Now, let me apologize, these are not the best photos,
they were taken a while ago before I even had a clue of what I was doing on this blog...
So I promise that will get better.
So I decided to do our bathroom, I'm close to getting our bedroom done and the Master just needs to be finished, I have started and stopped that thing like 4 times... enough is enough...
Here is how it currently looks.
It's not terrible, right? Well this bathroom has been done over a couple of times and as they say, hopefully the third time's the charm. So the cabinets, I actually painted navy, but I hate them, Navy is just not me. I also did a crappy DIY painted countertop, it has actually lasted, but it just looks cheap and with my hair dying at home shenanigans, it's just taken some real abuse.

Here is how the bathroom looked Before this last mini update. It was actually all taupe,
like the ceiling when we bought it.
Here's some kind of weird little cabinet for a TV?
We really aren't tv in the bathroom kind of people...so that will get remedied.
I love this tub alcove and that window, it's my fave thing about this bathroom.
We hung the chandelier shortly after we moved in. It's staying.

Here's my vision....

So here's the list... in list form

1. New Flooring
2. Paint Cabinets
3. Shiplap/ paint ceiling
4. New light fixtures
5. Epoxy Countertops
6. New Cabinet Hardware
7. Door for cabinet/new handle
8. Paint tile around tub
9.subway tile the steps
10. Decor

So luckily for me, it's not a super huge list... I have had much larger.
I'm hoping I can pull this off, I always have something else going on and I have  an Antique Junk show in May... So I must use my time very wisely!
